Customer Reviews

This is totally not the knife you want to bring to a jungle and expect it as a great knife on your survival trip because this knife is built with scouting in mind, which means you use this knife for only a short period of time and some light works. Well, in that case, this is just a right knife for you, but not for me. Why can't this knife be the ultimate knife that you can bring to every place in the world? The reasons are obvious:
First, it is a carbon steel knife that it will get rusted in water easily; It won't survive a week in the sea.
Second, the plastic handle is very cheaply made according to me; Great for lighter weight, but not for quality!
Third, the pivot point of this knife uses a removable screw that will got loosen in time to come.
I will say this knife is only great for backup because of its lightweight and its good carbon steel blade.
PS. I don't like the serration, but this serration does helps a lot for cutting ropes. For normal person like me, There ain't a lot of ropes to cut, so this knife is totally not for me.

I admit up front, I am not a fan of Bear Grylls, and not the biggest fan of Gerber knives either.
But when I saw this folder I liked the over all design, so bought one to give it a try. It's lightweight and the handle is very ergonomic. No steel liners in the handle, so it's definitely not a hard use knife, and should never be batonned.
Out of the box, the lock is solid with no blade play and the blade is literally "hair popping" sharp.
The pocket clip, is not reversible for southpaws, so that was a bummer, and it's not really removable either, since it's incorporated into the pivot screw.
Overall, I like it, I see no problem using it as a normal "EDC" knife that should do everything you would reasonably want from a pocketknife.
