This knife has performed well. I haven't heavily abused it, but it's given me no sign that it wouldn't hold up to anything I could throw at it.
I ordered it with the kydex sheath, and was very impressed with that combination. It locked securely into the sheath even without affixing the nylong restraint, which was nice. I don't like knives that are complicated to get out of the sheath, or require two hands to put back into the sheath. With this, you can pop it out or back in easily, and still have no fear of it shaking loose, even in an upside down carry position.
It needed some sharpening out of the box, so be prepared for that. But that's not why I gave it four stars. I would have given it four and a half stars if I could have, because my only gripe is that the texturing on the handle could be a little bit rougher. I have noticed that when it's raining, or if I'm very sweaty that my hand does tend to slip a litle unless I have a very firm grip. This hasn't been a big problem in use, just a minor annoyance. Some grip tape added to it fixed that right away.
That being said, I would happily trust this knife with my life, and I believe that the price is very fair for a knife that you could hand down to the next generation.
This knife is awesome, it's even better in person. I was a little worried by some reviews about the knife arriving dull and thought I would have to put in some work; but not mine! It came nice and sharp. The second review that concerned me was about the handle being a little slippery in wet conditions. I thought it was going to feel like a hard polymer, but it's texture is more like a hard rubber so I don't expect any problems as far as grip is concern. Everything about this knife screams quality.
I'll edit this post if I run into any negative issues.
