This knife i bought for food prep when out camping and after testing it out at home I have a few things to say. First off it's razor sharp out of the box and I mean razor sharp, it like using an oversized scalpel to trim meat with because it just glides through stuff. Second off it's light weight so for having to carry it outdoors as a food prep knife it very doable. And the third thing about it is the sheath is one size to big and I made you lightly shake it and you can head ti bag around inside the sheath which is rather another, but if you use the straps to tighten it down you solve this problem almost completely.
This is a unique and powerful fixed-blade knife... not the best steel and it's unclear how far into the handle the tang goes, but it seems quite stable and versatile given that you can choke up on it to use the finger notch and thumb texture on the back of the blade. And if you feel it getting dull in the field, you can simply clean it and use the internal sharpener to hone the blade back before you make it to your whetstones.
