Customer Reviews
Over all I'm happy with the knife. i looked a long time for just the right knife for me and this looked like the one. i know most survival experts say not to get a knife with a hollow handle but the knife blade and handle are all one once piece and very hefty. the knife came with a decent edge on it. it didn't take much to get a really good edge on it. the sheath is rather cheep but sort of expected for the price. (ill make a good leather one for it later). i had to clean the threads out on the handle cap, they were so rough the cap wouldn't seal. a few people said they didn't like the handle but i like it a lot. i also like the fact you could make a spear out of it very easy if it was needed. my fiancée and i backpack and he liked the knife also but it is a little heavy for backpacking.
I haven't had a chance to really test the knife out but i have chopped a few things (tree branches out back) and some scrap leather exct and the edge was still razor sharp. its hard to find a good 1070 high carbon steel blade with a hollow handle. I'm very hard on my gear and i think this knife will work just fine. i would have given this knife a 5 star if i didn't have to "fix" the cap before using it. the tools in the handle seem sort of pointless also, I cant think of what i would need to fix in the wild with a few screwdriver bits (very small ones) the only thing i could think of that i would carry in the wild that i might need a screwdriver for would be my rifle and I have very seldom had to mess with it in the wild but you never know i guess.
This knife I bought for $50.00 is one heck of a lot of knife for the money. It is solid in the hand with a grey battlehip powdercoat. The tools in the handle are all small different screwdriver heads but well made if of limited use in a survival situation, the sheath is nylon and looks to be of good quality with a extra pocket for a sharpening stone.
