This knife was definitely not a survival knife. It didn't last a week. We used it to cut some dead palm branches and it bent the blade. My Leatherman worked better than it did. Also the knife started to rust w/o getting it wet. The only thing I could think out is the weather was cool. I would not recommend this knife.
Sadly, This is truly a magnifcient knife in The rothco version of it.
In Budk form however, Its just sad. This knife is very sorry. Its plastic handle and its Harpoon without a point just ruin it completely. I dont know whats in the handle, Too disgusted to look. Cheap sheath, Cheap Contents, Cheap Steel. 11.00 is wayyyyy tooo much for this knife, Though a better deal Content wise than rothco's Black survival knife, Rothco ensures that even their worst of quality is better than what most factories tend to produce. The exact replica i ordered and am wearing, Rothco makes it and i have put this knife through all kinds of Heck and it still keeps Kickin At Money Money($$) I highly reccommend it. Its the best one ive ordered yet, I wrote a review on it. its Truly a beautiful knife. its called Rothco Deluxe Adventurer Survival Kit Knife it has exactly everything this knife offers but the slingshot. And trust me, the slingshot on this 11.00 Knife is very poor. Dont buy it just cause it has a slingshot, it aint worth it. Rothco's Knife has a really pointy harpoon, better hooks, includes a whistle, ETC. I wrote a review and rated everything about it, all its contents and The knife itself. I guarantee it will be worth your money. But, i am Drifting, the point being is that i gave this knife 4 stars for the impact resistant sheath and the shape of the blade and the slingshot prongs. Pretty handy the slingshot prongs, while the slingshot tubing provided with it aint much, you can buy Hi power tubing at walmart in the hunting section. this knife i dont reccommend, but it is okay for what its worth. I will test it, and update how it does...
