SOG Knives Spirit

SOG Knives Spirit

Product Description

SOG says that the Spirit Knife looks like a spear from the future. We get what they mean, but we wonder whether a spear will be a popular weapon once laser beams and death-rays become common. Either way, this unique knife can be used as-is, or it can be screwed onto the end of a broom handle or a stick (if you're in the woods somewhere) to complete the spear. We dig it. And what good is a death-ray if the zombies attack?Product Features

Customer Reviews

it's exactly what it says: a spear-point knife that can be threaded onto a pole. due to its shape, though, it's not very useful as a knife.
the blade is low-quality steel, rather dull out of the box. the finish chips off easily. there's a single weld holding the blade to the screwcap which has "failure" written all over it -- but don't worry, the threaded broomhandle you're using will break before the blade comes loose.
the shape is wrong for a survival situation -- one good stab and it'll be stuck thanks to its arrowhead shape, and then you've lost your spear.
if you want the thing for its looks and novelty, go for it. if you want a functional spear, keep looking.

I had to have this piece since the second I first saw it. It is high quality, sharp as a razor and fits perfectly on the end of a painting pole that has threading. If I ever have to stab something at a distance, I will be all set. Love this thing. It throws well too.
