This review is from: Whetstone Cutlery The Vermillion Survival Knife and Kit with Sheath Knife, Black (Sports) Wow, I was very impressed with this knife out of the box. Very sturdy and very sharp also it has weight to it to make it feel like a solid, well build knife. It also has a nice survival kit in the knife handle, I would just add some more matches. The knife is 7 inches long and handle is 5 inches. Knife looks and feels great but since I have large hands, the handle is about 1 inch too small for a total comfort feel but I am still very happy with it. Compass is very small but works and it accurate with my standard hiking compass. Knife is just the right size for camping or hiking. Not too large to stand out and make you seem like a Rambo wanabee. Large knifes seem cool but are overkill Unless you do serious hunting. This is perfect for my camping and hiking trips to Yosemite and for the price I am very happy.
